Schoeni Art Gallery is delighted to participate in the Hong Kong International Art Fair 2010, Booth N01. In its third year, Art HK is considered as one of Asia’s most prominent showcase for international Modern and Contemporary art with over 150 galleries participating from over 29 countries. The fair not only reflects Hong Kong’s ‘gateway’ status but has also been a catalyst for the flourishing local cultural scene.

Schoeni’s showcase mainly comprises of three sections:

Gallery’s Exclusive Artists – To date, Schoeni Art Gallery has 10 exclusive artists, many of which have collaborating with us since our establishment in the early 1900’s. Their age range spans across different generations, and each talent possesses their own unique artistic style. Exclusive artists include: Chen Li, Chen Yu, Chen Yong Liang, Dai Dai, Shen Hua, Shuai Mei, Wang Yi Guang, Yu Chen, Zhang Lin Hai, Zhao Fang

The Legends of Contemporary Chinese Art – These are the artists that Schoeni has worked closely with since its launch in 1992, whom have now become iconic figures of their genre. For instance, we were privileged to host Yue Min Jun and Yang Shao Bin’s debut exhibition abroad, Faces Behind the Bamboo Curtain, in 1994. All these legendary icons were featured in our 8+8-1 – Selected Paintings by 15 Contemporary Artists exhibition in 1997. Artists include: Yue Min Jun, Zhang Xiao Gang, Guo Wei, Zeng Fan Zhi, Liu Xiao Dong etc…

UK Rising Star Adam Neate – Following the success of the Adam Neate Prints exhibition held for the first time in Hong Kong at Schoeni last year, we are proud to present latest original works by the renowned former street artist at Art HK 2010, thanks to the courtesy of London’s Elms Lesters Painting Rooms. Adam Neate’s original work, in which he uses cardboard, Perspex, metal and sourced objects, is already in major international private collections as well as attracting the attention of art institutions, including the Tate, the National Portrait Gallery and MOMA NY.
