Schoeni Art Gallery is pleased to participate in the “Former Central School Envisioning Days” project, organised by Central and Western District Council, HKSAR Development Bureau, Artist Commune, Hong Kong People’s Council for Sustainable Development and the Central and Western District Home Affairs Department.

A series of activities consisting of guided tour, artifacts display, arts quarters by artists and exhibition by galleries, along with talks and workshops will take place at the former Hollywood Road Police Quarters in Central for two consecutive weekends, starting from 21 February 2009. The project aims to arouse public concerns over the conservation and future development of the site, as well as to encourage public engagement. As participating gallery of the project, Schoeni Art Gallery will be involved, carrying a mission to revive the former Police Quarters by adding new life to it, which hopefully will mark the beginning of future use for creative industries and education.

For the exhibition, Schoeni will be showcasing a “full of life” collection of originals and prints by artists from the UK and China, ranging from urban art to Chinese contemporary art.

Limited complimentary tickets will be available at Schoeni Branch Gallery on 27 Hollywood Road in Central, from 19 February 2009.
Free visiting tickets will also be available at the entrance of Central and Western Public Enquiry Service Center on 99 Queen’s Road Central, The Center, Unit 5.
