Main Gallery & Branch Gallery

For the summer months, Schoeni will be showcasing our Rotational Summer Exhibition from 20 July to 20 September 2009 at both main and branch gallery locations. A unique feature of the exhibition is that the artworks – ranging from contemporary Chinese Neo-Realism to Avant Garde, and from the 80’s ‘New Wave’ to the ‘Me’ Generation  – will be rotated, in order to provide our visitors with a unique opportunity to reflect on the tremendous diversity in style, technique and mood that Chinese oil paintings can offer. A variety of artworks from the Schoeni Private Collection will also be on display – works by iconic figures such as Zeng Fan Zhi, Yang Shao Bin, Zhu Yi Yong and Li Gui Jun, among many others – providing our guests with a retrospective look into a multitude of styles and developments that have dominated the Chinese contemporary art world throughout the last decade. The myriad of distinctive character and approach presented in the exhibition will give viewers a taste of a vibrant yet sophisticated genre, as well as a comprehensive observation of the contemporary Chinese artistic expression.
